How Much Bigger is a Four Year Old??

Oh Joshua Gene! We now officially have a four year old in the house and let me say, this birthday was so much fun! He really got into what was going on and we shared in every bit of his excitement, except maybe when we heard "It's my birthday and I get to decide" for the 900th time. Otherwise, so much fun!

The night before the big day, I put him to bed and after he said his prayers, I asked if I could pray. I prayed for him. I prayed that he would grow to be a strong boy who loves everyone and lives like Jesus and loves his God. I prayed that he tries to make good choices in the next year. I thanked God for the gift that He gave us four years ago and making me one of the happiest mamas anywhere. I thanked God for all of the love that Joshua brings to our family and others. And I meant that prayer! When I ended, it was silent for a minute and then he wrapped his sweet arms around me and said, "Mama, thank you so much! That was the nicest thing:). Now in the morning, how much bigger will I be?"
Sure enough when he woke up, the first words he said was, "I don't feel any bigger. My voice sounds the same." I asked him to measure his hand against mine. "Yep. I can tell. I'm defiantly bigger!" I love him!
The festivities of the day were planned by the birthday boy himself. Always fun to see what they come up with! Check it out below.

They both loved the hallway surprise in the morning...lots of balloons!
Birthday boy and his big boy bike!!

Thanks Pinterest...again...for the sweet and easy decorating idea! So much easier than streamers and much cuter!

Taking the new wheels for a spin

After a bike ride, Joshua decided to watch a train video in the car while driving around town to watch for trains at different train tracks....haha. Cheap fun!

Of course he had to stop for breakfast first. Krispie Creme was the meal of choice!

Sadie thanked him!

Quiet time was the movie HOP projected on our wall!

Best buddies...watching the movie....Like guys do...shirtless.

PRESENT TIME!!!

His favorite gift, a remote control firetruck that shoots water. Seriously, toys have gotten so cool!

Dinner at the Jose! As in Peppers. He requested dinner here all week because they have baby tacos just right for kids. Plus he's a sucker for the cheese dip.

Me and my Sadie Belle

Dessert??? Sopapillas!

Sadie showed us that she was still hungry by trying to eat the applesauce container.

Birthday party with family at Chuck E. Cheese the next night! Aunt Linda helped kick off some skee ball

He loves this game!
Sadie loved it too. Especially when Papa taught her how to cheat:).

I don't know who had more fun...the birthday boy or the adults....

She actually was keeping her head band on...yea!!

Uncle Steven took a ride with him.

Sadie enjoyed the balloons and food.
Happy birthday, Little Man! We love you to the moon and back and we are going to keep you forever!
