Ring the Bells!

There are certain things that a parent anticipates in their child's youth. The day in which their sweet little one participates in his or her first Christmas program has always been one for me. It's innocent, sweet, and usually humorous which is an added bonus!

Joshua did not disappoint. He LOVES to sing. Our family loves to sing and constantly makes up ridiculous songs so I'm not sure where he got it from. Great Aunt Barb said we are a modern day Von Trapp crew and I think that may fit us too well (sans the actually musical talent). Now if we could just figure out how to make our millions! But I digress. For weeks we heard the different songs and his practicing paid off in his first stage performance.

Before his big introduction! Can I just tell you how much that little group of hairs on the side of his head drove me crazy the whole night?
Sis wanted to wish him good luck

Feeling uncertain if he has warmed up enough. Think the crying (screaming) three year old may have thrown his karma off. His face is saying, "If this kid is scared of going onstage, should I be?"

Trying to cut to the front of the line to introduce himself to the audience

Finally his turn! No stage fright here! Other kids got up and just said their names. Joshua announced in a booming voice, "MY NAME IS JOSHUA MILNES." Not only was this first public audience and name in lights, it was also his first crowd reaction of laughter. His father was pleased.

Notice all the girls around him? Holy Spirit has several preschool classes. Joshua's crew is a perfect class size of six. Yes, perfect. Unfortunately he is the only boy though! Haha. Daddy says his odds are good.

(Sung to the tune of jingle bells) "Ring the bells! Ring the bells! Ring the bells today! Jesus came, Jesus came, for us on Christmas day...HEY!"

Awesome job, buddy! Daddy and Mommy thought the show was well worth the ticket price...even though it was free:).
