TEN MONTHS!! Count 'em up!! First birthday is around the corner and we keep asking ourselves where in the world has a year gone???? Sadie Makena has quite the personality and can be the person who lights up the room or the one who makes your life miserable when she does not get her way. How has this happened? I'm not sure. But fortunately we get the happy side more often, sans when brother does some sort of injustice and she gives him a look and cry as if to say, "When I get a big bigger I'm going to pummel you." And Art and I believe she will!
As of December 19, 2011, she was 28.25 in (55% percentile) AND 21 lb 6.4 oz (80% percentile). Yep, big girl. Love those little baby rolls!!
So you want to get to know Belle a little better? Here's some of her little quirks as a ten month old!
She's STANDING on her own! Wow! Started right after her 10 month b-day. She's even ventured with a step or two. It's really quite cute:).
The most effective place to get her to take her baba is in the high chair. She is too busy to deal with me giving it to her, although Daddy has more luck. She passed out right before nap while still drinking in the chair. Sweet girl:).
ALWAYS something in her mouth. Her socks are a preferred choice.
This is her most popular smile. Wide open and full of cheer. Just like Daddy's as a baby! We like to think she is saying "Yeah!"!
Eating. Dang she is picky! Where have I gone wrong? She loves her carbs (Mac and Cheese) and veggies are a struggle. Come on, girl!! This is what we get when she is not keen on the meal choice.
Walking chairs through the kitchen is a favorite way to pass the time. Brother likes to join as often as possible. Daddy loves the fact that he works in the basement and they have chosen this as a daily activity. But it's really cute and it buys mama a good 15 minutes or so!
The fist. Notice the clinch? She does this when she is either really excited or really made. Hopefully you are able to decipher which quickly because you may have the wrath of Sadie to deal with if you don't. And it's not as cute.
While at Crown Center, she channeled Marilyn Monroe to attract a little crowd of onlookers. Pretty funny. And I love that she was clueless as to why she had any attention.
