"I love learning, Mom! And I love school! And I really, really like Mrs. Young!"
We really struggled with where to send him. We heard good things about several places around us, but when we checked it out, it just didn't seem like a good fit for Joshua. I had heard fabulous things about Holy Spirit's program, but it's a twenty minute drive (not including morning traffic). In the end, we felt that starting his school experience off positively was the most important thing and it trumped wasted car time. And every time I hear the little guy say how much he loves school and his teacher I feel like any amount of time is worth that!!
The morning of drop off, he barely said goodbye to Art, Sadie, or me (with a train table in his room who needs Mom and Dad?). And I barely held it together, saving my tears for home as I wrote in his little journal. Excuse me, it was more like sobs. Lame again, but I just love this little guy so much!
The big preschooler!!
We call this his "Calvin" face- as in Calvin in Hobbes if you remember that cartoon:)
Sporting one of his MANY backpacks!
Hot air balloon card (one of his favorite topics) wishing him luck on his first day of "big kid" school (from Daddy and Mommy)
Doesn't he look so excited to get his "first day of school" gift? Lol....he did really like it although one would think otherwise from this picture! Bubbles to play with after school!
Hi Sadie!!! (Sporting her super cute outfit from Great Uncle Mike and Aunt Terri)
The FABULOUS Mrs. Young with her new student
Joshua was the first kid to arrive which gave him some special time with Mrs. Young....and the class train table...score!!
This may be his favorite part of coming to school
Joshua with his BF since his first playgroup, Liana...she's super sweet!
Love this! Parents wait outside to pick up the kids after school. Our little guy came DARTING out after his first day beaming! Yea!!
