Playing a little catch up with this post! Sadie is now six months old! She is six months old, actually, almost seven, but whose counting? She is doing much better with solids, loves sweet potatoes and carrots as well as any fruit. Not a fan of peas, can't say I can blame her:). And be careful if you eat around she will make dives for whatever you have! She rolls or army crawls.....EVERYWHERE! This girl is going to take off soon and scares us because she will be into everything! As you can see, she's an old pro at sitting up and it is so cute! Brother is still her everything and she is dying to be a big girl to play more effectively with his toys. When we dropped him off at his first day of preschool today (post to come later), she just kept trying to get out of our arms to go play with the big kids and fun toys.
Playing with her "Mary" doll in the morning. I had this exact same Madam Alexander doll when I was little and my mom found one for Sadie. She LOVES it! She snuggles it close and strokes her little face or arm...so sweet.
Oh big brother! He is just getting over the stomach bug. I had strep last weekend (not fun as a grown up so gives me more sympathy for kiddos!) and then he came down with the stomach flu on Monday. Poor kid! Was sick until Thursday. Some of the Joshua quotes from the week of illness that either made us laugh or broke our heart a little:-"I'm feeling kind of negative."
-After throwing up on the fourth day of being sick, "Mom, am I ever going to feel better?" :(
-Morning after the first day of throwing up, "Well thank you for saving me last night!"
-While snuggling him, I said, "Oh my sweet boy, I'm so sorry you don't feel well." His response, "I know my sweet girl." :)
AND since the flu was out of our house, we rushed to Wichita Saturday morning to see my cousin Scott get married to his beautiful and sweet wife, Alyssa. Scott is a Marine and will be serving in Afghanistan in January so please keep him, as well as his new wife and family in your prayers! It was such a fun wedding! Art and I were extremely sleep deprived after a week of sickness, but we still managed to have a blast with family celebrating this neat couple! Joshua loved seeing all of the Marines, (not army guys as he would correct us!). Thanks Terri and Mike for hosting and cheers to you, Scott and Alyssa!
This is why I love dogs....Masey and Joshua truly have a sibling love/hate relationship, but she did not leave his side while he was sick. So sweet!
