Joshua is getting way too good at being on the road! He's a wonderful little travel buddy! So we did it again this weekend! On Friday, we loaded up the car and headed to Omaha to check out the zoo. We had been planning this little trip since Christmas when Aunt Linda had the cool idea to give us tickets (+more!) as a Christmas gift to the zoo. The trip only got better when the Peters' family decided to join us:)! Joshua has been so excited to not only check out all of the animals, but go on his first trip with a buddy, such a big boy thing to do. We had so much fun! Had a pizza party, went swimming, checked out the amazing zoo, did some fireworks and even grabbed dinner in a cool downtown district...almost reminded me of Boulder! Heck yeah, Omaha! Good times with good buddies! The boys looked so cute together with their matching, festive 4th of July shorts that Nealy got them. Thanks Peters for an awesome weekend of fun memories!
Oh, and if you are wondering, Joshua's favorite zoo animals were the penguins (which almost brought him to tears with laughter) and the vampire bats (he thought they were unpredictable and cute? And even tried to claim one as "Joshua's" when other kids would try to look at it...so possessive).
