Happy Thanksgiving friends and family! Hope all of you had a relaxing and filling Thanksgiving weekend! We spent the holiday in Dallas with Art's parents, Cal and Katy, and enjoyed a bit of R&R as well as holiday fun! We split the drive up on the way down, staying in Tulsa overnight. It was a nice little break and we got to take Joshua to the Tulsa Aquarium. Although he was in a pretty sour mood (no nap!) and tried to claim certain exhibits as his own (really embarrassing, yet humbling I suppose!), we did have fun. Wednesday was spent catching up with Grandma and Grandpa and exploring our surroundings, including G & G's motion detecting lights...if only you know how cool these are to a 20 month old.
Thanksgiving Day, Joshua and Mommy enjoyed the Thanksgiving Day parades, a Kilgore Family tradition, which moved into a Milnes family tradition- an early Thanksgiving dinner leading into the Cowboys game. Joshua really liked the mashed potatoes and cinnamon bread, or nemanem as he calls it:). His appetite unfortunately disappeared when he discovered certain foods touching...really son? After a Cowboys win...YEA!....Joshua got to celebrate in Grandma and Grandpa's big jacuzzi bath tub. He LOVED it!
On Friday, the Milnes' clan packed into the car to travel to McKinney, TX to check out their Dicken's Christmas town. It was so cute! It reminded me of Weston! We made reindeer food, Christmas ornaments, got to meet a real reindeer, ride a carousel...good times! That night, we took walk to check out the Christmas lights which the little man is now OBSESSED with! Holy moly! It was a lot of fun!
All good things must come to an end though and we had to hit the road on Saturday. He was such a good boy, but I think it will be a while until he wants to get back in his car seat! Thanks for being so good to us Grandpa and Grandma and hope to see you again soon!!!

Making his first Christmas ornament ever:). So cute!
Making reindeer food- he loved this! He got to sprinkle his own cinnamon and sparkles into the mix! Wish I had thought of this idea when I was teaching!
Everything's bigger in Texas- including the reindeer!
