For those that know me, I'm not a huge fan of the circus. We went when I was a kid and for some reason one of the acts completely creeped me out. And as I grew older and became a vegetarian, I began to read about the cruelty that goes on behind the scenes of the circus. Well, I'm no longer a vegetarian or as pro animal rights as I once was, but Art and I have argued on the circus issue. Art feels a kid should not be deprived of such fun while I can't seem to wrap my head around paying for something that mistreats the stars of the show.
A couple of weeks ago, Aunt Linda (who is such a cool aunt by the way), scored some FREE tickets to the Ringling Brothers Circus at Sprint Center from a friend. Guess who she wanted to take! The Milnes crew of course!! Well, my hypocrisy only goes so far (to quote my favorite character in a movie...of all time...Doc Holiday...Tombstone) and the sound of FREE is music to my ears. Not to mention, I agreed with Art, Joshua would love it. So away we went! Unfortunately, Sadie caught the flu the day of, so Art volunteered to stay behind to have some special Daddy/Daughter time.
Joshua LOVED the show and was mesmerized for MOST of the performance. The thought of cotton candy had him distracted for some of the show, but otherwise he loved it and talked his Dad's ear off when we got back, at 10:30 pm. His favorite parts? The silly clowns that kept hitting each other and when they shot a man across the arena. AND the man happened to be on fire. Yep. It doesn't get cooler than that to a four year old boy!!

OH!! AND JOSHUA DID GET HIS FIRST TASTE OF P&L AFTERWARDS. HOPEFULLY, IT WILL BE A LOOOOONNNNNNGGGG TIME BEFORE HE RETURNS:). YOU CAN TELL BY THE LOOK ON HIS FACE HE IS SPENT!! HA!
