On the Road Again!!...Pt. II

Ah, my heart will always belong to Vail.  Ever since I was little I knew that the second I win the lottery, the first purchase will be a place in Vail.  Lionshead to be specific. And now that Art has been introduced to it he is on board thank goodness because I am sure I will strike it rich any day now:).

It's such a cool place.  Beautiful, of course, but also so laid back and so much to do!!  You never want to be inside, unless it is to put a fire in the fireplace or sit on your porch with a glass of wine.  Joshua loved Vail last year and this year it was his favorite place again.  My boy!

This little guy looked over the living room of the condo and the kids loved it!

Okay, seriously, this is the coolest playground I have ever seen...only in Vail!  It had multiple layers and even saved us in the bottom of the ship for a bit during a storm on the 4th.  Can't believe we didn't discover it until this year!

Another Joshua fav was riding the bus around. Easy, cheap entertainment!

What kid doesn't like to play in water fountains??!!

Okay, so this picture cracks me up!  She woke up super early one morning so it was just the girls for a couple of hours.  I was fixing breakfast and lost sight of her.  Found her on the back porch (which was gated in...yes, I'm somewhat responsible:) ), sitting in her chair with two bottles, kicking back and enjoying the Colorado scenery.  Haha!  Love her!

Pool time!

Snuggle break at the condo!

Future's so bright, we gotta wear shades!

Vail Gondola...he waited DAYS to do this and it did not disappoint

Okay, so these next two pics are my two favorites from the trip.  Totally unprompted.
*Sigh*
How perfect are they?? Wish I could always capture there little "moments".

We went back up to take some pictures in the evening and this was about the extent of the two of them together.  Seriously.  If I could only get them to smile at the same time....

CHEEEEESE!!

Not sure why, but one of her new favorite things is to hang her tongue out.  For some reason she felt the need to hug a pole and model.  Art and I have to remind ourselves of our quirkiness sometimes before we judge...

More Love...

Happy 4th of July with the Schwertners, now Littleton residence!!  (Allie-6/Samuel-4/Peter- 15 months)

They were very intrigued by the Einstein sculpture.  It was a great, intellectual and philosophical conversation, until Joshua commented on how he has a really funny bottom and it all went south after that...

Miss our Colorado friends!!

Could not contain her excitement on our country's birthday

The creeks, streams and rivers were SO, SO Low!!  Sad!  This was the one that runs through the Valley and we had so much fun playing in it.  It was crazy to think that every other time we have gone it was far too dangerous to get too close.
