Baby Milnes is a.....

shy little one!! No, we did not find out the gender at our sonogram, but we did learn that we would not have been able to find out the gender anyway because Baby M. is pretty shy. Guess it was a God thing that we did not want to know! We would have been so bummed if we had expected to find out! We had our appointment in late September and everything checked out great. The sonographer had me try moving around, jumping, the whole kit and caboodle, but little one was quite comfy in it's spot. This fact amazes me too since Baby Pink (as big brother has affectionately termed her/him...sorry in advance if you are a him!), was so still since he or she loves to kick and squirm throughout the night and day usually. Hmmmm. Right at the very end, it did flip over, but no cute profile shots. Art and Grandpa Gene swear it's a girl since she apparently already does not want to have her picture taken until she is completely ready to go:)! Love it!

It has been CRAZY around our house as you can imagine with a toddler, so that may explain the lack of blog posts. Joshua is quite the little boy who amazes us with his conversations and deep thoughts. After seeing the beautiful, orange moon the other night he told us, in three, perfect sentences, "I go up to that moon and get it to share with my friends. I get on an airplane, fly high in the sky, and get it. Then I come back down with the moon and share it with all my friends." It was really thoughtful, not to mention really well thought out:).

He moved into his big boy bed over Labor Day weekend and wow, has it been a process! To say we are exhausted is an understatement! He has good nights and bad, but we pray that his nights that are rough are numbered. He goes down like a saint, but loves to wake up at about 2:30 am and 6:00 am crying. I should be okay with this because Baby M. is usually wanting to hang out around that time....already quite the pair!

And since we are crazy and love a challenge in the Milnes' household, we headed into the potty training phase at the beginning of October too! Gotta get this boy ready before baby #2 arrives! The first week made us crazy, especially since Art had a busy travel week of Monday through Thursday, augh! But I am happy to say that overall he is doing great!! Woohoo!! We are so proud of our big boy! It is the funniest thing to see him running around in his big boy underwear- which he chose, Thomas the Train, Yo Gabba Gabba, and Elmo/Seasame Street to sport. Love it!

Below are some pics of his big boy room and fall fun, including our annual Monster Mash at the Milnes' party pics. We still have a few more things to hang in his room- an adorable iron baseball mitt, basketball, and football. Otherwise the transformation is complete!
