Woo! Woo! Thomas the Train rolled into town on Sunday and OF COURSE we had to go! Joshua is crazy about trains. We believe this started because we live so close to train tracks, close enough to hear the horn coming at least. He is a little bit on the obnoxious side when it comes to his desire to see trains the SECOND he gets into the car. Toddler tantrums can go into full effect if we choose to not "go that way", meaning, to turn left to go over the tracks when we leave our neighborhood. We are trying to tough love it out and avoid "going that way" as much as possible in hopes of easing the obsession. The whole Thomas thing is interesting. Fortunately, he is still not a TV watcher so he only lasts about 5 minutes with the show then is onto something else. Yet he still has picked up a love of Thomas. We have two pajama sets with the Thomas Crew on them and he pleads to wear them every night. When he wakes up in the morning wearing them, I am instructed to "do laundry, Mama" so he can wear them again. So nice he knows my roles in the house!
But, yes, Thomas came to town and it truly was so well done! Tons of activities for the little ones and a 20 minute train ride on the real deal himself. The Peters' family joined us for the festivities too. Always good to have their company:).
