Joshua has been so good lately learning the different parts of the face. He loves to show you where his ears are as well as identify other people's eyes, nose, and mouth. Well, I went to get him the other morning after he woke up and he wanted to point to all of the different body parts...he's a bit of a show off in the morning...an eye, an ear, Mommy's mouth, and then he smacks himself on the top on the head and shouts "a baaaw" (his way of saying ball). Yep, your head is kind of like a ball, son. What a guy! See the video to check out his new skills...as well as a one year old's dance moves:).
I have also found someone else to protect me from spiders besides Art. Joshua is learning the ropes. We were playing in the living room a couple of days ago when a medium sized one went scampering across the floor. It definitely caught his attention, and mine! For those that don't know me, I HATE spiders....scared to death of them. I usually trap them under cups so that Art can kill them later and I don't have to even look at them then. However, it was right in the middle of the family room so I had to suck it up before it got away. I grabbed a shoe and began to smack it. I did this several times (have to make sure it is extra dead) then went to get a tissue to clean up. When I came back in, Joshua was cracking up and beating the little thing even further with the remote control! It's the first time in my life I have actually had sympathy for these eight legged creatures!
In other news, Joshua is now sporting two new molars with another one about to pop. We now know why he has been so difficult lately (see prior posting for proof!). Posted some other pics below from recently...including Lyndsey and Steven's new addition...an adorable little puppy named Sandi. She is just precious! Can't wait to see her again! Our one year sign picture did not turn out because I failed to keep him focused. Oh well. It will be a good memory! Also, check out the link to see him with the little lamb at Antisdel's for the Whispers and Kisses photo shoot. It's captioned, "Then the lion will lay down with the lamb and little child will lead them." It was so fun! This was the only picture they got of him acting sweet...the rest of the shots he was being a goof! Kia is AWESOME though if you ever want some phenomenal pictures done!
