Showdown at 18924

Lord, please forgive me. How many times have a been somewhere and observed a lovely toddler displaying his or her displeasure with a parent over some trivial matter and yes, I judged. Really? Surely you can step it up and show that child who is in control! Poor parent....I feel for you. But let it be known, MY children will NEVER do that. Hahaha, God must have laughed. Let's make this one a bit more humble. I should have known when at just a few WEEKS old, the nurse practitioner told us she had never in her career seen such a stubborn baby while trying to get him to nurse properly and she already felt bad for his first grade teacher. Promise, she really said that. Or when at each appointment to see Dr. Tyson or his Parents as Teachers coordinator, comments like , "Wow, is this kid strong willed...watch out Mom and Dad...he's a charmer though!" are shared between his laughing and flirting with them!.
Mark it down, TWICE today my son pulled the wet-noodle, full blown toddler fit. I am so proud. Once when I dropped him off at the gym...so sorry wonderful Lifetime staff....I ran out and left you to deal with it. Tonight, after his dinner I would not let him walk with my assistance in the kitchen. Yep, I know, so sue me. Fixing a grown up dinner called though. Well, a lovely fit ensued that lasted over 10 minutes on the floor of our kitchen. So I would like to share it with you so you can judge or just say a good prayer for what Art and I get to deal with for the next 17 years or so. Be kind and admire his ability to be persistant (a better adjective then strong willed or stubborn!).
Love that even the dog tries to get him out of his protest in the last one!
