Momma's Boys and Masey Girl

Flags are everywhere, and I mean EVERYWHERE, around us. We never realized this simple fact until we had a child that is obsessed with the beauty of the American flag, or "ga" as he calls them. It really does help drives go more quickly because he spends the majority of the car ride waiting for a flag sighting and then goes nuts. So as you can imagine, Memorial Day weekend was quite the day to this little 14 month old! More flags than you could ever dream! We went down to Celebration at the Station on Sunday. If you have never been, it's wonderful! The Kansas City Symphony plays patriotic music and then there are fireworks at the end. Joshua loved the music, fireworks, and of course, all the "ga's"you could ever want right at your finger tips! He even got to meet a bunch of service men with...you guessed it..."Ga's"!!

We also got to see the Brewer clan on Tuesday who were visiting from Houston. We sure miss them here in Kansas! Liz and I have been friends since our freshman year of high school and I hate not having our kiddos grow up around each other:(. Molly (15 months) and Jack (3 years) are just ADORABLE! We got some great pics and Deanna Rose Farmstead proved just the right entertainment for our little friends. Arden Hornung, Samuel and Allie Schwertner, and Luke and Cameron played their little hearts out. Couldn't get any pictures of the older kids (Jack and Luke) cause they were too excited to show the little guys the ropes! Bummer!

You will also find some pics of the "Cheerios" incident. I was working in the living room and realized my little friend had been missing for a bit. Heard a crinkle in the kitchen and someone decided it was snack time. He got into the cabinet and grabbed some cheerios! Masey loves her new life with a mobile Joshua:)!

And just in case you ever wonder what it is like to eat out with Joshua, we provided a clip. He is the nosiest person I think I have ever met. Rarely pays any attention to Art and me. Occasionally he graces us with such thoughts of wisdom like the gem below. Enjoy!
And Happy "GA" Day again to everyone....or Memorial Day works too:)!
