On the Road Again

Art put in a long week of travel in NYC and Boston so Joshua and I packed up the car and headed to Wichita last week. A bold move to do when you are alone with a 10 month old, but it went beautifully. We stayed with the Heise's one night so Joshua could play with his buddies Hayden and Landon. The next night we were with his Great Aunt Terri and Great Uncle Mike. Both families were wonderful hosts to us and we had so much fun! Thanks guys for letting us crash!

I forgot to take pictures at the Heise's house (darn!), but we did get some with Lexi Holding, his third cousin (I think that is how it works!). She is 7 1/2 months old and is Megan's daughter. Does she not have the most gorgeous eyes? They had quite the time, but it was very difficult to snap a picture with both of them looking....wow....Joshua has found his match in the activity department:)!

When we got back to town, we were able to help Great Grandma Claire get around her house after her back surgery. Of course she could not have done it without him (see picture)!

Joshua also recently completed his first masterpiece. The item is not for sale cause it is too precious to Mommy:). I was cleaning out a drawer and he just picked up a pen and started to write on this page! We added the highlighter later. Tried to show Dad when he got home, but Joshua was more interested in eating the writing utensils than drawing. He just needed to be inspired I guess! And lastly, tried to capture him chucking his apples to the dog...didn't work, but he was ever so chatty for the camera. Super cute! Of course they never due things on command. With children it is on their own terms:).
