Oh.....
****sigh****
I love my two friends. And I love those little moments when they are starting show signs that they are best friends.
I mean, they have glimpses of brotherly sisterly love every so often. But it rarely seems to happen at the same time.
Most of the time, Sadie drives Joshua nuts because she just follows him around and wants to be just like her big brother. And it drives him batty because his toys are being messed with. And then the times that Joshua wants to love on his sis, she is too independent to want a hug that is not invited.
But last week, we had a day, a whole day, that they were just on and wanted to be the best of friends the whole time giving each other lots of hugs, snuggling, playing nicely. I was in heaven watching this little relationship and it made me miss being little. Made miss playing with my sister and brother and having that special little relationship that no one else in the world has. I did always want a big brother to look up to. And I loved how my friends with older brothers watched after their little sister. Art and I hoped our kids would fall in the line of boy than a girl so they could have this. It's one of those special gifts in life and I can't wait to watch it grow!!
Watching in the morning rain together
