Hold Onto Your Hats!!!

Guess who had a fun surprise for me at 3 am this past Thursday??? Yep! It's officially, this girl is not slowing down any time soon! She is so proud of herself. Art and I, on the other hand, are scared to death because she is pulling up on EVERYTHING. She army crawls, rolls, and scoots everywhere but no crawling. It's obvious she could do it if she wanted to when you watch her, but I think she is hitting the easy button a bit. And Miss Sadie wants to walk so badly so I'm sure that may come before we know it. Maybe even skip crawling??? HOPE NOT!! She will even try to shake your hands off of hers if you are helping her walk around.

Interesting little tidbit, Parents as Teachers told us that a baby can only process one major skill at a time. They will either focus on their gross motor skills or verbal. When their little brains feel they have mastered one, they then move to the next thing they want to learn, but may check the previously learned skill off their list and abandon it for a while. We saw this with Joshua. He was behind on his gross motors, but his verbal skills were advanced. Now Sadie, doesn't really say too much beyond squeals and shrieks, but wow, is she a mover and a shaker! Having two is so interesting!
