California Dreaming

One of our favorite destination spots is Southern California. Perfect weather, lots of activities, and the ocean of course! So that's why we decided to visit the sleepy resort town of Oceanside, CA for Joshua's first real vacation. It's located right in between San Diego and LA. Joshua loves the ocean or "nen" as he calls it as much as Daddy and Mommy do. He was perfect on both flights (thanks to Benedryl:) ) and warmed up right away to his new surroundings. Most days we just soaked up the rays and played in the sand. He celebrated his first fish taco there...YUM!.. and the ability open and close doors in the condo...YIKES! Yes, it was a perfect, much needed vacation for all!

Beverly Hills...that's where we want to be! Or just Rodeo Drive for that matter.

The famous Beverly Hills Sprinkles Cupcakes....YUMMY! There is actually a 20 minute line that wraps down the street to get just one of these little treasures! Joshua started dancing for bites...kid you not! Check out the milk and cupcake mustache he's sporting as well as part of the line in the background. Yes, cupcakes are a serious matter in LA!

On the Boardwalk- Oceanside has the longest wooden boardwalk on the West Coast

Mornings on the Beach in our Jammies

Watching seals in La Jolla

Sunsets on the Beach

Disney's California Hotel in Downtown Disney- They had chairs for little people which he was excited about!

Our Little Mouseketeer- He LOVED meeting the characters and was always sure to illicit a lot of "Ahhs!" from the crowd with his antics as he met each one. His favorite rides were "It's a Small World" and "The Flying Dumbos". And the Electrical Light Parade had him busting a move! Yes, we are aware that he will not have any memory of this experience, but it sure was a perfect, magical day to Mom and Dad:)!

Meeting the lovely Minnie- He kept giving her kisses.

Our pal Eeyore

His favorite, Tigger. One of his top two favorite stuffed animals since he was born is his Tigger, so he naturally brought his Tigger with him to meet the real deal. When it was his turn, he went right up and handed the stuffed animal over to share and tell the real Tigger about his animal. Super cute!

Daddy's favorite restaurant, El Callejon. He's been talking it up for the last few years after working at Skylight and we finally got to share it with him. Best margaritas in the world I must say!!!

Lastly, check out the following YouTube link for the best laugh we got from Joshua on the trip. SO DARN CUTE! The video is poor quality because we filmed it at night in a parking garage:). I couldn't get it uploaded on here for whatever reason but really worth checking out:)!
