For summer vacation this year, we were soooo excited to have Art's family travel with us to Colorado for most of their first times out there! The kids had been counting down the weeks until they were able to travel on a plane (and see their relatives....and be in the mountains!) and Mommy and Daddy were counting down to some Rocky Mountain air! We arrived in Denver and stayed for a quick visit with one of my oldest and dearest friends and her kiddos.

Although it had not been planned, we decided to do a quick stop on the way up to Vail, actually, it's not really "on the way" but to a five year old it is, in Estes Park. When Joshua told people he was going to Colorado this summer, he would follow it with how excited he was to feed the chipmunks and ride the tram and go on the rainbow slides. To which each time we told him that those things were located in Estes Park and we were going to Vail. He was kind of bummed. So we surprised him at the last second with the stop and Grandpa and Grandma were even able to join us for a bit too!
Rainbow Slides...weeeeeee! Joshua wouldn't even wait for us to go down. And said would squeal with laughter when it was her turn. Completely worth the extra few hours in the car!

Love this pic of our boy at the spot we have taken pictures at since I was tiny. He's pretty cute:).
This is one of the best pictures taken of just Art and I in a LOOOOONNNNNGGG time! And guess who took it? Sadie! Can you see her in my sunglasses? Ha! Love it!
