Swing Away!!

 For about 8 months now someone has been OBSESSED with baseball. He loves it! And can't get enough of it! And he has been counting the days until he got to REALLY play. On the way to his first practice this week he was not happy to hear it was t-ball and not the real deal, but hey, we all have to start somewhere.  Plus we were able to piece together a team of incoming kindergartners from his school, Holy Spirit.

Some  new rules different then baseball:

• There is no keeping score
• Everyone gets a turn each inning
• Game ends after one hour
• Everyone on the field if you are not batting

Seriously, how sweet and cute is that?!  A great way to introduce them!

They have been hilarious this season.  They have come so far and it has been so much fun to watch.  Some favorite highlights???

• How they tackle one another to get a grounder....I think they are a bit confused with football.  
• When one kiddo walked off the field in the middle of a game because he wanted to rest and get a drink.
• After hitting the ball in his first game, Joshua took off for second base:).  
• Watching them draw in the dirt instead of watching for balls.
• And the time that the ice cream truck accidentally made a stop in front of us mid-game.  Whoops!  Both teams were lost after that.  A bit cruel if you ask me!

 He always makes time during the game to talk to his biggest fan, his baby sis.

 Daddy plays the third base coach.  Love seeing him help these little ones!

So proud of you little man!!  We love watching you play and love the dedication and good sportsmanship!!
